A REPUTED INTERNATIONAL EXPERT IN REAL ESTATE

Professor Artur Silvestri, president of the Romanian Union of the Employers in the Real Estate Sector and (since 1991) is a reputed international expert in real estate. His vision about the evolutions registered of late in this specific market are, without doubt, a milestone for any major investment, made by local or foreign entrepreneurs. „From local, to a globalised market“ this is now the pattern of his studies in real estate.

His activity in the real estate field is presented, in an added note in the book „Archetype of the Scythian monks“ as follows:

„Starting 1992, during his time of „public absence“, he dedicated his life to the activity of investment and creation of economic institutions, mostly in the real estate field. He holds the highest professional background in this field. Within the European program COSA he organized the elaboration of the occupational standards in the real estate domain contributing to the recognition of the positions of real estate agent, consultant and evaluator); he founded, the activity of real estate counseling stating 1991, by public practice and by publishing over 100 essays, analyses and reviews on these topics. Today he is considered to be the most important author of books on real estate in Romania, usually mentioning titles such as „Strange decade. Moving cities, sanctuaries and real estate myths“ (2003), „Retrocession of the century. The dispute of the Religious Fund in Bucovina“ (2003), „Romania of year 2010. A forecast in real estate domain“ (2003), „The Thales effect in Milet. Essay on the money handlers“ (2004), „Megapolis valah. Hundred doctrinal principles about New Bucharest“ (2004) „Eulogy of Hazard“ (2005). They said about these work that „had the real estate market not existed, it should have been invented according to these books“.

He leads, as general director, the company „SGA Romania – Real Estate Counseling Institute“, one of the most well known counseling companies in Romania, the quarterly reports of which are among the most commented economic analysis documents of the last years.

He participated in the foundation of the main professional organizations and employer’s organizations in the real estate field. In 1996, he initiated the first professional certification in the domain within the National Association of Real Estate Companies. He has acted as president of the Real Estate Employer’s Union starting from its very establishment (1997); in 2003, he was elected as president of the Romanian Real Estate Associations Federation (FAIR). He initiated the establishment of ARCI (Romanian Association of Real Estate Counselors), for the certification of this profession in Romania (2004).

In 2000, he initiated and organized the act of public fight against GO 3/2000, leading the opponents; after 3 years, by his efforts, the Governmental Ordinance was abrogated. During that period, they used to call him „the employer who changes the law“.

He initiated the Awards of excellence of the Real Estate Employers, the only form of value recognition of this kind in the field. He established the only editorial collection in the domain in Romania („The Real Estate Library“, published with Carpathia Press Publishing House). He organized and coordinated research groups for the cheap building areas, established during the inter-war period, and analyses upon the „Historical Center of Bucharest“, elaborating independent reports, financed by his own resources. At present, he works on the „Kiseleff Project“, major urban development proposal, following the theme of creating a „New Bucharest“, extremely large project, for which he already established contacts and gathered specialists from all over the world“.

Artur Silvestri is born in 1953. He is a writer, historian of civilizations, cultural promoter of a rich activity, Doctor in Medieval literature at the „Trinity Bible Research Center”– University of Madras, India, Doctor honoris causa at „Institut d’Estudis medievals de Catalunya“ – Barcelona, „Docteur en sciences appliqees“ and Visiting – Professor of Universite Francophone Internationale of Bruxelles (Belgium), author of over 200 research studies on topics related to Romanian literary history, of over 30 books and 2500 articles on cultural topics.
